Cyclone Phailin - Help Call
An urgent appeal for help
Dear Friend ,

The severe cyclonic storm Phailin has fortunately not claimed too many lives but the devastation it has left behind is unimaginable.
Over 2.5 lakh houses are damaged, crops have been destroyed and there is a serious need for clean drinking water.

While the government machinery has done a great job with the evacuation that helped reduce loss of lives, the extent of damage and the subsequent floods have left many families in need of support.
Save the Children has been in readiness in Odisha and AP to respond to the challenge and our teams were involved in the evacuation in villages of Odisha. We had prepositioned stocks of food, hygiene kits and tarpaulins to be made available once the storm recedes.

We will now support the affected people with food baskets, clean water, tarpaulins for temporary shelter and by providing cash for work.
Our teams are on the ground and carrying out relief operations and assessing the extent of damage.

We need your support to reach out to many more children and families. Your support will help us ensure that families are able to get back on their feet at earliest. Please donate by clicking here.

Thank you in advance for your support. Donate

Sincerely,
Irwin Fernandes
